Starting this year with a smurf all the way from scotland
she was bought under a cloud (don't ask) buy a man from s,wales and he wasn't happy with her so i have taken her in for some tidying
on first inspection she has some rough areas and i am wondering if i have done the right thing in buying her and will sleep on whether she should be scrapped as i am not looking to spend silly money getting her A1
i just want to make her drive well and look good so someone can enjoy her.
ok first day pics and im loosing the will after an hour of finding bad and not a great deal of good.

managed to find/make a hole in the passenger sill to get all the water out.
Sunday came around fast and so my first day doing something productive with the smurf
i find a wheel centre horn push from ripspeed in the man cave and set about fitting it while removing the tatty centre bung fitted at the moment..
in doing this i was able to tidy up the bodged loom.

This 5 has a horrid (imho) double din stereo which dose not seem to work well so search the internet to find a manual so i can get it all running correctly..
after a few minutes we have gps, bluetooth, radio and tv 30 dvb stations..

next on to the snapped accelerator pedal, I have welded many of these out of the car in the past but this one i'm going to try to weld in situ..
i then moved on to the hood and the drain pipe leeks
and a vid of it now working as should
a new set of ht leads, a replacement rad cap fitted and off for a drive to see how she handles..

Ok yesterday i started on the slight rust issues and found a nightmare underneath this rot i am afraid has put the car in to the strip for parts category
first picture shows how much filler someone put over the rusty panel
So as you can see from the pics the car is not financially viable to repair so i have stripped her to help out other mk1s with her parts
